These bottles are perfect for fermentation! They function perfectly as described with two different seals so they can be changed if needed for your purposes. They are fairly easy to clean, though it should be noted they don’t come with a bottle brush. I purchased a different bottle to begin with and it didn’t seal and was a disappointment to lose my money and grains. They weigh as much as you’d imagine a glass bottle of this thickness. I don’t think you can beat the value for the money.

I got these bottles to bottle my own kombucha and overall I’m very pleased with the quality and capacity. I gave 4 stars only because it’s very difficult to remove the metal top pieces so I can put the glass in the dishwasher, and even tougher to put them back on the bottles. They are tougher to clean due to the shape but that is to be expected with this style bottle. Overall, pleased for the money I spent.
